Environmental Conservation Association :
Environmental Conservation Association (ECA) formerly known as National Environmental Conservation Association was founded by a group of eminent Ecologists, Medical Scientists, Engineers, Legal Experts, Social Scientists in 1981. ECA is registered under the Society Registration Act. 1860, FCRA 1976, enlisted with Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India. Head office of the ECA is located at 210, Saket Nagar, Varanasi-221005, India.
Our Activities
- Ecological studies on environmental, industrial, socio-cultural and economic development of river Ganga Basin, Bio-diversity conservation, Waste land development, Non-conventional Energy resources etc.
- Testing of Air, Water, Soil, Noise, Automobile Exhaust, Stack and Process Emission, Industrial Effluent, Solid Waste, Sewage, Indoor Environment, Microorganisms, Synthetic and Bio-products for Environmental evaluation.
- Consultancy for ISO certification, EMP, EIA, Environmental Accounting and Auditing, Bio Medical Waste and Health Management, Green Belt Development, Cess estimation and Clearance, Ground and Drinking Water Management, Pollution Control Technology and Environmental legislation etc.
- Mass education for environmental awareness, Sociological studies on Women Empowerment & Education, Child Labor, Non formal Education, Human Rights issues.
- Arranging seminars, symposia, workshop, etc. at national and international level on the subject from time to time.
- Publishing journals, proceedings and such other publications as may be found desirable.
- Undertaking such other activities as may be incidental to or necessary towards fulfillment of the objectives of ECA
